The right supplies are important for children to learn in school and be able to study at home. USMS provides uniforms, shoes, textbooks and supplies to the students.
The uniforms give children a sense of pride in being able to go to school, and often are their best set of clothes. The shoes provided are sometimes their only pair.
In many schools in India, textbooks and school supplies are in very short supply. Sometimes there are no books at all, and school is taught with only a rough chalk board. Students at USMS receive textbooks and supplies that enable them to better study and learn both in the classroom and at home.
USMS has recently established a modern library full of children's storybooks. It is the first children's library in their area. The students delight in reading the books as part of their daily curriculum.
The library at USMS also functions as a lending library, providing books to other nearby schools. Thus, children at local public schools and surrounding village schools benefit from the facility as well.
